The bail application by Rally driver Maxine Wahome will be heard today.
Wahome was charged with the murder of her late boyfriend but denied the same before Justice Lilian Mutende.
It is alleged that on December 12 at Preston Apartments on Oloitoktok road, she murdered Asad Khan.
At the same time, the High court will today give directions in a case in which former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko sued Azimio leader Raila Odina for declaring Monday a public holiday.
Last week, Justice Hedwig Ong'undi said there is a laid down procedure for the declaration of public holidays in Kenya.
Raila made the declaration as he steps up efforts to pile pressure on President William Ruto’s regime.
The holiday, he said, is to allow Kenyans to participate in planned demonstrations with the destination set for the State House.
But the court after perusing pleadings filed by Sonko said, “I have not found any gazette notice by the cabinet secretary in charge of interior declaring Monday a public holiday as per section 3 of the public holidays act.”
Justice Ong’undi said the case filed by Sonko is of great public interest. She directed the pleadings be served on all the parties immediately ahead of the mention today for further directions.
Sonko in his case has sued Azimio leader Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Jeremiah Kioni, Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa, Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition, Wiper Democratic Party, George Wajackoya, Wycliffe Oparanya, CS Interior, Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General.
He has sought an order prohibiting Odinga’s team from declaring or stating Monday to be a public holiday.
Also sought was an order that the Interior CS Kithure Kindiki issue directions to the IG to assist in the arrest of any of Raila’s team for declaring or announcing Monday to be a public holiday and taking part in Azimio public demonstrations.
He says arrests should also be made if anyone damages any private or public property during the demonstrations.
Separately, the Kibera courts is expected to deliver a judgment in a case where Africog boss Gladwell Otieno's son and two other were killed in a road accident by David Gichuki in 2012.
Silvanus Otieno, Brian Waweru and Ntsanya Otis Kapua perished in a tragic road accident along James Gichuru road in Lavington in April 2012.
