Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka and Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua have joined opposition chief Raila Odinga for the mass protests in Nairobi.
However, they were repulsed and forced to make rounds outside the CBD including Kamkunji and Eastleigh.
"This is the day," Kalonzo said to a charged crowd in Nairobi's Eastleigh where Azimio leaders addressed supporters.
"The (police) have shown that they have no respect for the rule of law, they have teargassed peaceful demonstrators," Kalonzo said.
Karua was earlier said to have been unable to get out of her house after police barricaded roads leading to her home.
The leaders met at Serena hotel where they had planned to address the press but the briefing was aborted after police lobbed teargas.
