 Police are investigating an incident in which a police officer was found dead in his house in Sultan Hamud area, Makueni County.

The body of constable Geoffrey Musembi was found in his house on March 14 with no physical injuries.

The officer is among those guarding the SGR in the area.

Police said the officer was discovered lying dead on his bed while facing upwards inside his rental house.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy to establish the cause of death, police said.

Police said they are not aware of any medical challenges of Musembi.

Meanwhile, a 75-year-old man collapsed and died moments after buying and taking medicine at a chemist in Nakuru Town.

Street children found the lifeless body of Davis Kaguru Njuguna outside the chemist and carried him there.

And upon a search, some tablets were recovered from his trouser pockets.

The cause of the death was not known and an autopsy is planned to establish the same.
