Opposition Chief Raila Odinga will on Thursday lead the anti-government protests in Nakuru.
This will be his first time in Nakuru after losing the August 2022 presidential elections.
The Nakuru rally will be a day before Raila heads to Kiambu prior to the onset of the March 20 mass action.
The ODM leader declared March 20 a public holiday to allow Azimio supporters to participate in the demos.
His declaration is, however, null and void since the power to declare public holidays rests with the CS, Interior Ministry.
President Ruto has warned Raila against holding unlawful protests that will result in the destruction of lives and property or the paralyzation of business operations in the country.
In a response to the recent threats by Odinga and other opposition leaders to lead countrywide demonstrations next week, the President said Kenya is a country governed by the rule of law and no one was above the law.
Ruto insisted that he will not allow any attempt by Odinga to "blackmail" the country, urging him to liaise with police over the planned demonstrations.
