Bishop Ignatius Wanjala of Revival Prophetic Living Ministries in Bungoma County has called on President William Ruto to come out and give his stand on the LGBTQ.

Wanjala says that it is so unfortunate for the top court in Kenya to rule in favour of the LGBTQ noting that it is immoral and satanic.

“I was so shocked to learn that the Supreme has ruled in favour of gay movement rights,” he said.

Wanjala spoke in his office on Monday during a press briefing.

He strongly condemned the Supreme Court’s ruling noting that LGBQT will erode African culture and diversity.

He asked President William Ruto to reject it in Kenya.

“We want the head of state to come out clearly and respond to this international topic that has erupted with different opinions from leaders, faith-based organizations, social media and the society,” he said.

The Bishop asked President William Ruto to emulate Kenya’s neighbouring head of state Yoweri Museveni and oppose the Supreme Court’s ruling.

“We have leaders react over this LGBQT ruling, here in Kenya we are waiting for Ruto to speak about it,” he said.

Wanjala who acts as Bungoma Bishops' council coordinator argues that LGBQT is a dangerous matter and if allowed in our society it will erode our youth’s behaviour.

“Even the bible condemns such immoral behaviours. Why support it?” he said.
