Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula is in Algiers, Algeria for a three-day official visit.
The Speaker will be expected to hold engagements with the President of the National People's Assembly Ibrahim Boughali on enhancing parliamentary diplomacy among members of the two countries.
While on his tour of duty, Wetang’ula will be carrying out bilateral discussions with various sectorial heads from the pharmaceutical industry, agricultural, energy and petroleum sectors.
He will also meet Algerian leaders for talks on trade and investment and higher education and other possible areas of collaboration between Kenya and Algeria.
The Speaker is accompanied by Cabinet Affairs Principal Secretary Julius Korir, Kenya Ambassador to Algeria Peter Katana Angore and MPs Daniel Nanok (Turkana West), Marwa Maisori Kitayama (Kuria East), Nelson Wamboka (Bumula), Suleka Hulbale (Nominated), Zaheer Jhanda (Nyabari Chache), ZamZam Mohammed (Mombasa Woman Rep) and Abdi Ali Abdi (Ijara).
