CS Kuria meets President Chakwera to discuss trade, regional integration

Investments, Trade and Industry CS Moses Kuria on Monday met with Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera at the State House in Blantyre, Malawi.

The CS delivered a special message from President William Ruto on issues to do with regional integration.

Kuria and Chakwera also held discussions on matters of mutual benefit between Kenya and Malawi.

"Chakwera committed to fast track the ratification of the Tripartite Free Trade Agreement between SADC, COMESA and EAC, as a critical stepping stone towards the Africa Continental Free Trade Area," Kuria said.

They further discussed potential cooperation on leveraging Malawi commercial food production through the Kenya Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

With the CS were MPs Beatrice Adagala (Vihiga County)  and Eric Wamumbi (Mathira).
