The High Court has allowed scrutiny of eight polling stations to determine if there were any irregularities in the Wajir Gubernatorial elections.

Justice George Dulu directed the deputy registrar of the High Court to preside over the opening of the respective ballot boxes used in the Wajir governor election.

Former NHIF CEO Hassan Mohamed had sought scrutiny and recount of ballot papers in 43 polling stations.

He is the one challenging the election of Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi Jiir.

He says the whole process was not free and fair and wants Jiir's election nullified.
