Kericho County leadership wrangle has been solved after a long morning meeting chaired by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

UDA Secretary General Veronica Maina on Thursday afternoon said that the county will focus on service delivery going forward.

"Kericho County Leadership wrangle is now resolved thanks to the guidance and leadership of our Party Leader, H.E President William Ruto and H.E Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua,"  she said.

"The leadership of Kericho County will now focus on service delivery and Kericho County development agenda," Maina added.

The meeting was attended by Kericho Governor Eric Mutai, Woman Representative  Beatrice Kemei, Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, UDA SG and the MCAs.

President William Ruto publicly reprimanded the MCAs over the chaos witnessed at the assembly.

This was after chaos erupted at the Kericho assembly after MCAs disagreed over House leadership.

Speaking in Bomet on Sunday, Ruto said such wanton actions were likely to derail development in the county.

“Kericho MCAs must stop the nonsense. Shame on you! The people of Kenya voted for us to implement development projects and not to fight over positions,” Ruto said.

Earlier this week, Governor Mutai had hopes and stated that the Kericho assembly is not completely lost.

He said they will actively engage the MCAs to solidify the county leadership.

"We will try to build a roundtable discussion to move forward and solidify our leadership," Mutai said.

The governor said it was the responsibility of all leaders in the county to mentor other leaders and make them grow.
