She worked at Mobile Decisioning Holding Limited as a Media Relations Officer between May 2015 to May 2017.

Since 2018, Charlene was the Director of Public Relations and Branding at Weston Hotel.

Charlene became the topic of discussion after Kenyans raised concerns as to why she has been visiting different county assemblies, having meetings with governors and running different initiatives.

She has had 40 local and International engagements.

Charlene has had meetings with eight governors and met five deputy governors.

She engaged with four speakers from different county assemblies.

Charlene has also met students in various schools and community leaders.

Kenyans have since compared her to former US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump.

When her father was elected into office, Ivanka accompanied him as an unofficial adviser.

Charlene caused a buzz on social media after she claimed that she sold 'smokies' while at the university.

She said the smokies were the only thing that was selling at the time.

"I was in Daystar University and smokie kachumbari was the only thing that was selling, I was encouraged to take up the small business," she said.

The video received mixed reactions among Kenyans, with some tweeps claiming that she was lying.

However, she defended her claims by saying that she had witnesses.

"I was somewhere talking to some university students. We were talking about savings and investment, so I thought to encourage them and tell them my story when I used to sell smokie kachumbari at Daystar," she said.

Charlene caused yet another social media storm after she said that she holds the Ofice of the First Daughter.

In a statement on Wednesday, Charlene said her office is not tax-payer funded.
