Suspected killer cop Ahmed Rashid is admitted at Madina Hospital.
Through his lawyer Danstan Omari, he has told the court that his client is unwell and has been in hospital since December 5.
Omari says they will provide medical records to prove the same.
He has also said Rashid has never been personally served with the summons to appear in court.
The DPP through state counsel Wangui Gichuhi said they served the IG with the summons so that they can effect it.
Justice Kanyi Kimondo asked if the IG responded to the DPP on the status of the summons to Rashid.
But Wangui said they are yet to get any response from the IG’s office.
The plea has been deferred and the matter will be mentioned on January 26, 2023.
