President William Ruto has gazetted all the 51 Principal secretary nominees who will work under his administration.

The gazettement comes hours after MPs approved all of them after vetting by various departmental committees.

The notice is dated December 1, 2022.

Parliament on Thursday unanimously approved the appointment of Principal Secretaries nominated by President William Ruto.

Court had stopped the vetting of the nominees after the Law Society of Kenya and two others moved to court challenging the list, saying it lacked regional and gender balance.

Justice Nduma Nderi said the petitions, which were consolidated, were filed prematurely and on November 29, the court okayed National Assembly to continue vetting the 51 nominees.

In the list, Ruto retained three PSs from his predecessor's administration.

Belio Kipsang will now take over the state department for basic education while Peter Tum will be at the state department for medical services under the Ministry of Health.

Charles Hinga has been approved as the housing and urban development PS.

They will be sworn in on Friday.
