A video has surfaced where security officers are seen roughing up a journalist in an event in Murang'a county on Thursday.

Second lady Dorcas Gachagua was at the event where she was overseeing the donation of relief food to Murangá residents affected by the drought.

In the video, the four security officers are seen harassing the journalist only identified as Mwangi Muiruri. One officer is seen slapping the journalist.

An officer in a blue uniform intervened and that is when the other officers let him go.

Another person probably a journalist was heard saying, "Ni colleague yangu banaa, ni colleague yangu." "He is my colleague."

He seems to be saying this in a bid to rescue the journalist from the attack by the officers.
