A hospital director was on Friday charged with allegedly attempting to kill his ex-wife and her lover.
Patrick Eshiwani Amukoa is accused of allegedly conspiring to kill Catherine Njoki Kamau on dates between August 19, 2015 and September 3, 2015, with others not before court.
Amukoa was also charged with a second count that on the same dates and place, with others not before court, he allegedly conspired to kill Kennedy Momanyi.
He denied the charges before Milimani senior principal magistrate Bernard Ochoi and pleaded for lenient bond terms.
Amukoa through his lawyer said he was arrested in Kisumu at the hospital where he works as a director.
He added that he was not a flight risk as he had a specific place of work, which is a reputable institution.
"My client was released on a police cash bail of Sh50,000 and we are seeking the same to be retained," the court was told.
The court further heard that Njoki who is the complainant in the first count is the wife of Momanyi in the second count.
The magistrate released the accused on a cash bail of Sh150,000 or a bond of Sh300,000.
Ochoi also directed the prosecution to supply him with all documents that they would rely on in the case.
The case will be mentioned on November 25.
