Marsabit county Assembly members have approved Governor Mohamed Mohamud's executive cabinet nominees.
The assembly gave them a clean bill of health after it was ascertained that all the nominees surpassed the requisite threshold to hold their respective offices.
All 11 appeared before the vetting committee two weeks ago where they defended their suitability to serve in the position they were nominated.
Speaker Edin Wario who chaired the committee on appointments said the nominees have the requisite qualifications and experience to serve in their respective positions.
While giving their inputs on the floor of the house, the MCAS called on the CECS designate to render their service tirelessly to aid the social economic transformation of the residents.
Immediately after Assembly members approved the nominees, Governor Mohamud Ali congratulated the assembly members for the approval of CEC nominees.
He said their approval has allayed fears harboured by many that the current MCAS will always handle issues in line with their political affiliation.
He said he has no doubt about their work in discharging their oversight roles and checking over the executive.
The CEC nominees are Malicha Boru (finance), Grace Galmo ( Health), Adan Kanano ( Water), Ambaro Abdullahi ( Education), Guyo Guracha ( Road), Hussein Ali ( Agriculture), Ledaany Jeremiah ( Culture), Adan Hirbo ( Trade), Amina Challa ( Land) and Armara ( Administration).
The assembly has also approved Flevia K. Gekone as the County Attorney.
The team is now set to be sworn in any day in the presence of Governor Mohamud.
