Ruto has liberated Kenya, he's my hero today - Malala

He said Ruto has freed the country from dynasties.

Former Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala has celebrated president William Ruto.

Malala who was speaking on Thursday during Mashujaa Day celebration said Ruto remains his hero.

"We have heroes of the past and heroes of today, I celebrate Ruto, he is a hero because he has liberated Kenyans from chains that have emancipated Kenyans for a very long time," he said.

Malala said Ruto has freed the country from things of the past and the dynasties in the political arena.

"We have been poisoned by thoughts of the past and thoughts of dynasties but we have been freed by our president," he said.

He touched on his thoughts about the new appointment of DCI boss Mohamed Amin and the disbanded unit and said that was a good move to have a change in the sector.

"Those are among the things we have been liberated from,"  

"The previous misconception that DCI and police being used to harass people and political revenge, the reforms put in place by Ruto , we are going to do away with the ugly past. I urged the new DCI to serve all Kenyans without fear," he said.
