Bunge la mwananchi has urged President William Ruto to walk the talk and start to deliver on his promises.
On Wednesday, they shared a list of grievances he wants to be addressed by Ruto during the Mashujaa Day celebration.
This will be the first Public Holiday president Ruto will address the nation.
Led by its President Calvin Gaucho, they are pleading with Ruto to lower the prices of food products starting with Unga.
"What Kenyans want to hear during Mashujaa day celebrations is Ruto announce the new price of unga after the price has been lowered," he said.
They also want the President to give clear timelines of when the cost of living will go down.
“Many Kenyans are suffering silently and are eagerly waiting for your government to lower the cost of living,” Gaucho added.
He also requested the President pardon inmates serving less than three months and below in prison.
Going further, the group has called on lawyer Miguna Miguna to show respect to leaders when he returns to the country.
Gaucho clarified that the controversial politician, who was deported from the country by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime in 2018, was welcomed back home but should desist from statements that could cause chaos and confusion.
“We have no problem with Miguna coming back. But he should mind his business and avoid insulting others,” he said.
Gaucho also commented on reports that Miguna, a prominent lawyer in Kenya and Canada, was in line to succeed Raila Odinga as the Luo kingpin.
“Miguna is hard to sell at the moment. Let him first concentrate on his citizenship then he can convince us about other things later,’ he said.
