Ruto hands his allies plum State House jobs

Josephat Nanok as deputy chief of staff while David Ndii will chair President's Council of Economic Advisors.

President William Ruto has appointed Felix Koskei as the Chief of Staff and the Head of Public Service.

Koskei replaces Joseph Kinyua in the post of Head of Public Service.

Ruto also appointed former Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok as deputy chief of staff while economist David Ndii was appointed the chairperson of the President's Council of Economic Advisors.

The position of the senior advisor and Head of Economic Transformation and Secretariat was given to Augustine Cheruiyot.

In the appointments announced on Friday, Ruto appointed former Treasury Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge as the Senior Advisor and Head of Fiscal Affairs and Budget Policy while Mohammed Hassan was appointed a member of the President's Council of Economic Advisors.

Hassan is former National Bank chairman.

Other appointees are Nancy Laibuni who was appointed an associate member of President's Council of Economic Advisors and Katoo Ole Mitito who now becomes the new Statehouse Comptroller.

Former Citizen journalist Hussein Mohammed was appointed Statehouse Spokesperson while Ruto appointed his spokesman David Mugonyi as the Head of Presidential Communication Service.
