Remain in opposition - Cherargei tells shortlisted PS candidates who opposed Ruto

Cherargei said Ruto should reward those who were loyal to him.

Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei has said shortlisted candidates for the position of Principal Secretaries who supported Azimio-OKA should remain in opposition.

Cherargei alleged that he has seen some Azimio-OKA supporters  who did not believe in President William Ruto leadership among those shortlisted.

Cherargei said Ruto should reward those who were loyal to him.

"On the shortlisted PSs have seen some Azimio-OKA apologists who didn't believe in  Ruto Presidency and insulted him, let them remain in opposition not to sabotage our God given govt and no recycling. Loyalty to Ruto must be absolute to serve government and Kenyans," Cherargei tweeted Monday.

This comes after the Public Service Commission shortlisted 585 names for the post of Principle Secretaries to serve in Ruto's government.

Interviews for Principal Secretaries positions will be held from October 12 to October 22.

The shortlisted candidates are to be interviewed and a final list submitted to President William Ruto for considerations for appointment.

The interviews will be held at the PSC head office in Nairobi.

Some of the notable names shortlisted include Former Narok Governor Samuel Tunai, former Lang'ata MP Nixon Korir, Former nominated MP Isaac Mwaura, Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Boya Molu among others.

Among the potential candidates are the current principal secretaries and former legislators.

They are Charles Hinga, Andrew Tuimur, Chris Kiptoo, Jerome Ochieng, Saitoti Torome, Belio Kipsang and Kevit Desai.

Others are Zeinab Hussein, Julius Jwan, Margaret Mwakima, Fred Segor and Esther Koimett.
