Ready to work , First lady Rachel Ruto on Wednesday received a courtesy call from Samira Bawumia .
Bawumi who is the Spouse to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, visited Mama Rachel at State House.
'Glad to have this morning met Her Excellency @SBawumia, the Spouse to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana who paid me a courtesy call at State House, Nairobi,' Rachel said.
Her husband, William Ruto was on Tuesday, September 13 sworn into office as Kenya’s fifth president.
At 12:45pm, Ruto took the oath of office, as Rachel stood beside him and holding the constitution for hi to place his hand.
Rachel takes over from Margaret Kenyatta who held the office of the first lady since 2013.
Dorcas Rigathi, Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s wife pledged to work together with Rachel as they support their husbands.
“As a mother of the nation, together with mother Rachel Ruto, we are going to do what a mother should do, nurture and help,” she said.
