President-elect William Ruto has assured Kenyans that his promises must be fulfilled and there is nothing to worry about in his tenure.

Ruto, who spoke at Maya Stadium during a thanks giving ceremony said he looks forward to a day when Kenyans will not be overburdened.

He added that he longs for a time when Kenyans won't have to borrow.

"I am taking over a country with a big debt and our economy is not in good stature. If you find yourself in as hole, stop digging. China saves 57% of it's GDP while Kenya saves 7% of our GDP. I encourage everyone to promote a culture of saving," Ruto said.

On Miraa markets, Ruto said he is engaging Somalia President Hassan Sheikh for enhanced bilateral trade for the crop.

He insisted that once he takes oath of office, the Hustler National plan to uplift the lives of Kenyans must be effected.

"Leave Miraa cartels for me. I have a meeting this week with Somalia President to fast track on Miraa markets. Miraa farmers should never be worried, I will deal with all brokers and cartels," Ruto said.

The President-elect thanked God and Kenyans for his victory against what he termed as the 'deep state'.

"Opinion polls predicted that I won't win but God made it," he said.
