President-Elect William Ruto has vowed to ensure the timely release of shareable revenue so that county governors can deliver on their mandates.
He said his government will ensure that no delays will be witnessed to allow seamless work across all counties.
“I want to commit to all our governors that moving forward all the share of revenue will be released on time to make it possible for you to deliver,” Ruto said.
He also emphasized that his government will work with all governors to ensure they have additional resources from their own source of revenue to ensure they deliver.
“I want to commit that we will work hard and I have discussed with the Kenya Revenue Authority how we can raise revenue,” Ruto added.
The president-elect also made it clear that under his government nobody will be exempted from paying taxes and the rule of law will be the benchmark.
