The sessions have been organized to prepare the Members ahead of the first Sitting of the House.

"In this regard, the Clerk of the National Assembly invites all Members to attend sessions to be held in Parliament Buildings," a statement released on Thursday reads.

The orientation will be held in two sessions which include the morning from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

The sessions will include activities like Members registration, collection of bio-data information, issuance of Parliamentary IDs and briefing on the use of the Chamber voting system.

"In light of foregoing, all Members-elect to the National Assembly are required to submit duly completed bio-data forms."

The incoming MPs will also be given a tour of the Buildings and briefings by the Office of the Clerk on essential legislative matters.

They will also be briefed on services and facilities available to them and be facilitated to register for them.

Members-elect have been advised to carry their National ID or passports, KRA pin, IEBC certificate, the duly filled and signed bio-data and a copy of updated CV.

The original IEBC certificate submitted to the Clerk shall be duplicated so the Clerk retains a copy.

"Please note that other additional personal documentation may be required to facilitate application for medical insurance cover," the statement added.

All members, including those who have been re-elected, are required to carry the aforementioned documentation.
