Power of Jesus Around the world Archbishop Washington Ogonyo Ngede has refuted claims that he was part of the entourage that visited President-Elect William Ruto on Wednesday.

On the President-Elect's official Twitter handle, Ogonyo's name featured among a group of religious leaders who met Ruto at the Deputy President's official residence.

"Hosted faith leaders at the Karen Residence, Nairobi County, led by Archbishop Philip Anyolo, Archbishop Anthony Muheria, Supkem National Chairman Hassan Ole Naado, Bishop Robert Lang’at, Bishop Ogonyo Ngede...," the tweet reads in part.

Ogonyo has, however, denied being part of the meeting.

He said the information was not factual because he is in Kisumu with his family members.

In a press statement to the media at his church office in Nyalenda, Ogonyo said he has not stepped out of Kisumu for such a meeting.

He has termed the statement as misleading saying people must stand by the truth.

"Have been in Kisumu praying for three days for peace to reign in the country following what has been going on after the released of the presidential results".

"If you check out the Twitter handles where the photos of the clergy were posted, am not part of them. Why should it be said am part of the team"

Ogonyo noted that he is not against anybody but such things should come out clear and not misinterpret facts.

He called on Kenyans to remain peaceful.

"Let's all Live in peace and love each other regardless of our tribes and differences. In unity we can win many battles. Remain unity and pray for peace to prevail".
