Traffic snarl-up was experienced in Nairobi as Kenyans rushed home ahead of the announcement of the presidential results.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, in a statement, said the commission will declare the winner on Monday at 4 pm.

This comes in six days after Kenyans headed to the ballot and elected leaders of their choice and it is still uncertain who the next president will be.

On Saturday, anti-riot police were called into the national counting centre as political party agents tried to disrupt the tallying process.

Inside the Bomas of Kenya auditorium, security has been heightened and also in the surrounding areas.

Both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio agents are at the venue awaiting the big announcement by IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati.
