UDA presidential candidate William Ruto won the majority of votes in Othaya constituency, Nyeri county, the IEBC has declared

Ruto polled 35,972 against the Azimio la Umoja candidate Raila Odinga who got 7,145.

The number of registered voters was 61,879 and 43,458 votes were declared valid.

Some 315 votes were rejected.

George Wajackoyah of Roots got 198 votes, while David Mwaure of Agano managed 143 votes.

The commission must verify results from all 290 constituencies and the diaspora votes before announcing the presidential winner.
