Raila edges Ruto in Laikipia North presidential tally

Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga took a narrow lead against UDA's William Ruto in the Laikipia Noth presidential tally.

The constituency in Laikipia county is a perceived DP Ruto stronghold, however, Raila scoope 14,630 votes, while Ruto garnered 13,157.

The total number of valid votes cast was 27,911.

David Waihiga of the Agano got 42 votes while Roots flag-bearer George Wajackoyah polled 82 votes.

There were 47,752 registered voters in the constituency with 251 rejected ballots.
