Kioni, Chepkut bid constituents goodbye after sensing defeat

Ndaragwa and Ainabkoi  Members of Parliament have conceded defeat even before IEBC announced the official results. 

Jeremiah Kioni who has served Ndaragwa for two terms congratulated George Gachagua on his election.

"To the people of Ndaragwa, it has been an honor to serve you as your Member of Parliament. I accept the results with honor and contentment," he said.

Early this year, Kioni replaced Raphel Tuju as the Secretary General of the Jubilee Party.

On the other side, William Chepkut served  Ainabkoi constituents as their MP for the past five years.

He congratulated former MP Samuel Chepkonga as he prepares to take office.

'To the people of Ainabkoi, thank you for the opportunity you gave me to serve you as a Member of Parliament for the last 5 years. It's an honour. I congratulate @HonChepkonga as he prepares to take the office and move Ainabkoi forward," Chepkut said.

At the same time, Kabando wa Kabando has also conceded early defeat for the Nyeri Senatorial seat.

"Voters have spoken. It's my turn to concede, which I do. Congrats to all winners. As always, I remain actively involved in matters of public interest," he said
