Wajackoyah finally votes after Kiems kit drama

IEBC said the failure of the Kiems kit is as a result of technical issues

Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has finally cast his vote in Matungu sub-county after delays due to technical errors.

Earlier on, several voters at the station were inconvenienced, including Wajackoyah, the Kiems kits failed. 

IEBC said the failure of the Kiems kit is as a result of technical issues and they are working on them.

Matungu and other areas which have experienced technical hitches are to be allocated extra time to allow all the voters to participate in the voting exercise.

Speaking to journalists shortly after he had failed to vote, the presidential candidate expressed his dissatisfaction over the technical error.

He said the IEBC officials should have tested the workability of the Kiems kits ahead of their deployment.

Voting was delayed for over four hours in Namulungu, Mirere and Namanga and Khalaba polling centres over the failure of the KIEMs kits.
