UDA presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua has expressed confidence in the voting process.
Gachagua said he is excited about the turnout of voters in the region.
He said it was impossible to introduce dead voters in this election or stuff ballot papers because the process is seamless.
"Thank you very much, it's a defining moment for the people of Kenya. I'm excited by the voters' turnout, they had queued early to elect leaders of their choice," he said.
He thanked Kenyans for taking part in their civic duty.
Gachagua urged people to remain peaceful during the election period as life must go on after elections.
"I want to appeal to the people of Kenya to maintain peace, and I urge those who are at home to come out and vote and be part of the process to define their destiny, they cannot stay away," he said.
Gachagua was accompanied by his wife Pastor Dorcas.
He had to pave way for an old woman to cast her vote as that is the norm, to allow the old people to vote first.
