Eldas voters to cast their ballot on Wednesday - IEBC

Elections in the constituency were postponed Tuesday over security reasons.

Voters in Eldas constituency in Wajir county will go to the polls to elect their leaders on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

Elections in the constituency were postponed Tuesday over security reasons.

"Elections in Eldas constituency have been adjourned due to security reasons and voting shall commence tomorrow at 6am," Chebukati said in a statement on Tuesday.

As at close of voting at 5pm, 12,065,803 million Kenyans had been captured on the KIEMS kits as having voted.

The number represented 56.17 per cent voter turn out excluding those who were identified manually. 

"The commission will keep you regularly updated on all developments touching on the general election," Chebukati said.
