Bungoma County Senator Moses Wetangula on Saturday disparaged Azimio spokesperson Makau Mutua for constantly attacking the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Wetangula chided Mutua for the recent Azimio statements issued concerning Kenya Kwanza and its leader William Ruto.
"A Mr Makau Mutua has been tasked to attack anything Ruto/Kenya Kwanza however ridiculous it makes him appear. His unhelpful polemics defines his moral, political and intellectual inexactitude!" he tweeted.
The Ford Kenya leader regretted that Mutua was the adviser to the Azimio leader Raila Odinga
"He is the top adviser of a PR candidate. God save the candidate."
On Friday, in a statement issued by Mutua, the Azimio team tore into Ruto's manifesto.
The lawyer took a dig at Ruto's manifesto saying it was punctuated by empty promises and slogans.
Mutua took issue with the DP for failing to highlight how he will tackle corruption.
He said the DP's failure to elaborate his plan against corruption rendered his manifesto impossible to implement.
"Kenya Kwanza is the home of the largest collection of questionable political characters this country has ever seen. Under its large tent reside convicts and suspects of economic crimes and corruption against the people of Mt. Kenya," read part of the statement.
"It is no wonder Ruto and Kenya Kwanza have no agenda or plan to address corruption, the number one impediment to the development of our country. Nothing will ever go forward in this country, without slaying the dragon of corruption."
