CCK leader Moses Kuria on Thursday took a swipe at Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi after he shared a video of him being heckled at a campaign rally in Kiambu county.
The video captured Wamatangi being booed by supporters who chanted pro-Kuria slogans.
In the video, the Senator was imploring the Kenya Kwanza supporters to back his governor bid but they instead answered by endorsing Kuria.
"Asante Kimani Wamatangi for visiting Gatundu. Karibu tena," the sarcastic caption read.
This loosely translates to, "Thank you Kimani Wamatangi for visiting Gatundu. Welcome back."
The heckling happened a day after the Senator got into a standoff with former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.
The two were engaged in a public spat that exposed the sibling rivalry simmering in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Kuria who was at the rally later exonerated Kabogo from blame and claimed the UDA candidates had plotted to embarrass candidates not vying on UDA party tickets.
"For three days the UDA leadership has been meeting UDA MP and MCA candidates to plot how to embarrass Kabogo and me during the tour."
He condemned the saying Kenya Kwanza leaders had to stick together.
"This chicanery is not healthy for our fledgling alliance. It is imperative that we live with not only the letter but also the spirit of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance," he added.
