A political aspirant from one the counties at the Coast is about to face a massive lawsuit for some illegalities involving land transactions.The aspirant is said to have authored legally inadmissible documents for the sale of a parcel of land to an unsuspecting buyer. However, the prospective buyer would later realise that the land was registered in the name of a completely different person before paying for it. It is said that more people would have fallen victim to the politician's dirty tricks. The enraged 'buyer' has vowed to get justice in the case and and for others who have suffered at the hands of the politician.

A parliamentary aspirant in one of the counties in Western Kenya is struggling to undo the damage caused by information being propagated by his rivals. In their campaigns, rivals have also been telling residents that the politician hired a 'wife' to show up during a social event. Opponents, while questioning his source of money, have been claiming that the politician is jobless and should therefore not promise youth employment. The youthful aspirant is said to have lost his job two years ago and has not been employed since then. The man, however, says he is an entrepreneur.

A governor aspirant from Mt Kenya region who allegedly shortchanged some politicians is said to be in the process of dropping his bid. Corridors of Power is informed that the hopeful has agreed to drop his bid and deputise one of the aspirants who is a partner in the coalition he has joined. It is reported that they have agreed to hold a joint event in two weeks time when the flagbearer of their coalition will attend. It is further reported that they are still trying to reach out to another governor aspirant who is contesting the seat as an independent candidate.

An ODM Member of Parliament was jolted when party officials appeared to have endorsed his rival during a meeting in his constituency. ODM was receiving politicians who had defected from other parties and one of them was the MP’s rival in the last two elections. The MP is a party official at the constituency but receiving the defectors were the national officials. The officials asked residents to embrace the newcomers and rally behind them wholeheartedly. The legislator is said to have been uncomfortable with the remarks until recently when it became clear that his rival will not contest the parliamentary seat in August.
