Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has asked interested female candidates to apply to be his running mate in the race for the Kiambu Governor seat.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, Kuria said he is looking for an aggressive and professional lady to be his running mate.

“The successful candidate must possess a Masters Degree and a proven track record leading a complex organization with at least a 10-year work experience, five of which must be in a senior executive level,” the statement read.

It further indicated that the candidate must be self-motivated and self-driven.

She must also be a Kiambu County resident.

The interested candidates will be required to send their written expression of interest and comprehensive resumes to [email protected], by March 18.

The Chama Cha Kazi party leader declared his bid for the Kiambu Governor seat on February 26.

The MP will be facing Senator Kimani Wamatangi, former Kiambu Governors William Kabogo and Ferdinand Waititu, and current Kiambu Governor James Nyoro.

Others competing for the position are Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina and Kiambu County Assembly Speaker Stephen Ndichu.
