Ruto arrives in London for three-day tour

Ruto's UK trip comes after completion of a five-day US tour

Deputy President William Ruto has arrived in London for the second leg of his 12-day US-UK foreign trip.

A shared video showed Ruto being received by officials led by Ambassador Manoah Esipisu. 

The DP is expected to meet senior UK Government officials and engage the Kenyan Diaspora in the UK during his three-day stay.

"Highlights of his public engagements include a conversation with the Archbishop of Canterbury and a Marlborough Peace Dialogues keynote speech at the Commonwealth Secretariat," Director of Communications Hussein Mohamed said in a statement.

He said Ruto's delegation will also hold private bilateral consultations with the U.K government at both the Whitehall and Parliament.

Ruto is accompanied on the trip by ANC leader and fellow Kenya Kwanza principal, Musalia Mudavadi.

Head of International Relations for Ruto's Presidential Campaign, Ababu Namwamba, posted on Twitter that the DP and his entourage will be at the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury, London. 

Hussein thanked the US Government for hosting the DP and his delegation for at the State Department and at the White House, respectively. 

Special thanks too to the Kenyan Diaspora in the U.S for their warm welcome, hospitality, and incredibly progressive thoughts on the Kenya we envision.

Ruto's foreign trip began on February 27. He is expected to fly back home after the UK tour.
