The High Court has released former Laikipia North MP Mathew Lempurkel on Sh100,000 cash bail.

Lempurkel who was jailed for one year for assaulting lawmaker Sarah Korere was granted the bail by Justice Justus Obwononga pending his appeal on his conviction.

The ruling was made on December 20.
