ActionAid Kenya last Thursday launched the National Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) advocacy coalition at Serena Hotel, Nairobi.

Media personality Janet Mbugua moderated a panel discussion involving among others WEE movement chairperson Leon Achieng and Isiolo Voice of Women Network chairperson Consolata Lomilio.

On behalf of Gender CS Margaret Kobia, CAS Beatrice Elachi called for investing in women’s economic empowerment, saying it sets a direct path towards gender equality, poverty eradication and inclusive economic growth.
