President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in South Africa on Monday evening at the Union Buildings in Pretoria, for a formal welcome ceremony by his host President Cyril Ramaphosa.

As part of his day's itinerary, Uhuru is scheduled to lead the Kenyan delegation in bilateral talks with their South African counterparts.

The two heads of state will, among other things, discuss the latest developments around the global response to the Covid-19 pandemic and vaccine manufacturing and distribution.

Ramaphosa will lead South Africa’s delegation in official talks with Uhuru and the discussions will focus on bilateral, multilateral, economic, regional and continental agreements.

Memoranda of agreement on cooperation in international cooperation and relations, home affairs and tourism are expected to be signed.

The two leaders will also address the South Africa–Kenya Business Forum to further explore new areas of economic, trade and investment cooperation.
