Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua on Thursday shared his experiences while working in Dubai.

In a post via Facebook, Mutua spoke of how it is easier to make money in Dubai compared to Kenya.

He said it is because of the difference in thinking and economic ideology by the U.A.E leadership.

"I learned three lessons from living, working, visiting and studying Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. One, they move with speed. Ideas are transformed into tangible actions," Mutua said.

"Unfortunately in Kenya, we are not chap chap and delays and back and forth are the order of the day. As the rest of the world moves forward, we are usually still holding discussions."

The governor noted that the U.A.E leadership has broadened the base to make money by taxing less but across a wide range of people.

"They allow movement of tourists and flow of cash for businesses. The result? Immense wealth. Kenya? Do not even go there," Mutua said.

"They keep it simple: they have cut out long, useless procedures. Everything is set up on a two to maximum three step operation module. This promotes growth and circulation of money: In Kenya, form after form and bureaucratic procedures make life hard - yes difficult."

While pushing his chap chap agenda, Mutua said he would offer solutions to these economic challenges.

"What they do in Dubai and the U.A.E, we can also do in Kenya. However, just need a good and focused National leader who understands how it all works: Solution? Mambo Ni Fresh na Mutua," he said.
