A nine-year-old girl abducted from their home in Rabuor, has been found at the Kisumu main bus stage .

According to the county police commander Samuel Anampiu, the mother of the minor Maureen Akech, a business woman, had reported on Sunday that on Friday July 16 around 7pm while retiring back home, she met a woman not known to her carrying a baby on her back and seemed stranded.

The fact that curfew hours had clocked, she decided as a good Samaritan to offer her a space to sleep.

She said the lady in question claimed that she hails from Nakuru and she had paid a courtesy call to the father of the kid she was carrying, who hails within Rabuor area, but his phone had been switched off.

However , Anampiu noted that the minor's mother never bothered to report and on Sunday at around 7:40am, the suspect left with the nine year old.

The suspect who abducted the nine-year-old girl, also stole a mobile phone techno pop 2, belonging to the mother of the minor. The mobile phone had a golden cover.

When found at the main bus park, the minor claimed that the abductor had asked her to accompany her to Nairobi and they were to board a vehicle, but using tricks she lied that she wanted to answer to a call of nature which enabled her to escape.

The minor told the police that after getting away from the abductor, she asked to be taken to the police.

Anampiu noted that the minor took the police to the point where the abductor was waiting but unfortunately the abductor could not be spotted.

“The juvenile who seemed trembling with fear was happily handed over to the mother after affirming that nothing else had happened," Anampiu said.

The police are still investigating to arrest the suspect.
