[PHOTOS] Requiem mass held for Mudavadi's mother

Family and friends of the late Mama Hannah Atsianzale gathered to pay their last respects during a requiem at Friends International Centre Ngong road on Thursday.

Mama Atsianzale was the mother of Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi.

The 92-year-old passed away on December 28 while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.

The mass was attended by various legislators including Deputy President William Ruto, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe and Speaker of National Assembly Justine Muturi.

While announcing his mother's death on Twitter, Mudavadi had said on Twitter, "As a family, we are devastated by this loss but are bearing it with grace. Please remember us in your prayers. The Lord gives and the Lord takes. May our dear Mum's soul RIP."
