A man was on Friday charged with stealing personal protective kits worth Sh14 million from a businessman.
Benson Mugendi Mbaka was charged before Kibera chief Magistrate Joyce Gandani where he denied the charges.
Mbaka is accused of stealing the said equipment from Joseph Maina Mwangi.
The charge sheet says that the accused stole 3,000 pieces of PPEs on diverse dates between October 5 and October 16 at Industrial area within Nairobi county.
Mbaka told the court that he was a sickly man and showed the magistrate a sick form showing he had stomach problems.
He requested the court to release him on a free bond.
The magistrate granted him a bond of Sh5 million with an option of a cash bail of Sh2 million.
The case Will be mentioned on December 3.
