President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to visit Kisumu County on Thursday.
Highly placed sources said the president will land at Kisumu Airport at around 4 pm before he inspects various ongoing projects.
The head of state will be received by ODM leader Raila Odinga and Governor Anyang Nyong'o.
Uhuru is expected to inspect the Sh3 billion refurbished port, Sh350 million Uhuru Business Park and Sh1.4 billion Jomo Kenyatta International stadium in Mamboleo.
The first batch of the stadium project is costing Sh450 million. The construction of the project is underway.
According to the sources who sought anonymity, Uhuru and Raila who on Thursday spent in Kisii after Mashujaa Day celebrations had agreed that he passes by Kisumu.
Apart from the three projects, the Special economic zone in Muhoroni sub-county to is also lined up for the county.
The Sh3.8 billion Nakuru-Kisumu Railway line is also under renovation.
The Mamboleo-Muhoroni road is also set for construction with tenders already awarded.
