As the nation awaits President Uhuru Kenyatta's State Of The Nation address this afternoon in the Parliament, State House has highlighted some of the key points he will tackle in his speech.

Among the key issues to be tackled is affordable housing.

The government aims to deliver 500,000 affordable housing units by 2022; universal health care for all; food and nutritional security; and sharply grow the manufacturing sector and value addition of agricultural products.

Many Kenyans on Twitter are, however, not enthusiastic and want the President to do more to fight graft.

Here are some of the comments:

“The best thing President Uhuru can do today is to release all Cabinet Secretaries linked to corruption and corrupt practices,” @IamElvisMvoi said.

“The agriculture sector is dead with excessive importation of what we have; food is a nightmare, people are already dying and how will there be universal health care when some Kenyans are being chased out of hospital?” @DanvasNyabasa said.

“It's impossible to have 500,000 units by 2022. Mr President be realistic, that means we need 462 houses every day, impossible. Komesha ufisadi  (stop corruption) and we shall build our own houses,”@pkamaukinyenje said.

“Stop preaching what you don't even comprehend. Over six years and nothing that was promised has been delivered, from laptops for kids, SGR, stadiums, jobs. Nothing. And don't say SGR was delivered because the trains were just revamped with spray paint,” @StephenJobiri said.

“Achievements of these should be the president's only preoccupation- not appeasing politicians through 'handshakes and tracing friendships to independence'. It may make sense to him but how does it help me? Achievement of the agenda will engrave his legacy in my heart”@WalterMangana1

@Stevomuiruri said, "Too much ambition breaks a man, while too little takes him nowhere. Let the president just deal with 2 major things - corruption and health care. Those will cement his legacy; otherwise he'll accomplish nothing by 2022.”

“Great aspirations. We need to have clear semi-annual milestones to enables us - as a country - monitor progress to the promised land,” @ProfessorKirigi1 said.

“Big four is dead.. Let the president tackle corruption the rest we shall sort it out on our own.. Lakini sio kushinda akituambia ati jameni nifanye nini.. Fight corruption” @kiamasimon110

“It will only happen if all stolen government funds to be return by following those who wants beneficiary for their own life,” @stanleymanguai1 said.

“I wish you can achieve all that ...However, it is going to be difficult because you are not able to stop the stealing of public funds meant for use in such Big 4,” @OnTim_Ndemo said.

“Everyone in State House is in cloud cuckoo land. Do you know what you writing? You are embarrassing the country!,” @GizeGizee said.

“Uhuru Kenyatta has reached ideapause, No agenda , Zero Actions, a lot of vitisho baridi. Let him resign and immediately let us go back to the ballot. We have able leaders,” @HonMarikoMorris said.

"Uhuru set to fire more warnings to corrupt officers. The word " irregardless will feature so many times in his terse adress to the nation today,” @Iam_aliswaleh said.

“A warrior cannot win a battle if the rest of his troop turns against him. President Uhuru Kenyatta is trying to fight corruption single handedly. No support for him at all. We hope something unusual will happen,” @amulegai commented.
