NGO donates water purifiers to Kitui residents

World Water Day was marked in Kitui county on Friday with the distribution of purifiers.

The purifiers, worth Sh252,000,  were donated by Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB).

Deputy Governor Wathe Nzau attended the function in Mutomo subcounty.

CMMB has partnered with Proctor & Gamble to distribute purifiers.

CMMB works with community health workers, nurses and school teachers to educate residents on the importance of treated water

Community members were trained on how to use the purifiers.
