President Uhuru Kenyatta has alleged that NASA leader Raila Odinga is scheming for a coalition government with the help of foreign entities.

The President did not however name the individuals or institutions.

This comes as unconfirmed reports indicated that Raila is planning to travel outside the country until October 22.

Uhuru said the NASA presidential candidate was in contact with "wazungu" (whites) days before the Supreme Court overturned his win.

He

spoke on Sunday in Mombasa where Jubilee held

a rally at Serani grounds to woo Mombasa residents into voting for him at the October 26 repeat election.

The president

issued title deeds to three institutions and two groups.

He claimed the opposition chief and his team expected him to refuse to have fresh elections and create a recipe for chaos.

"People would have been murdered and international pressure for a truce would have piled," Uhuru said.

He said the plan which still holds, was to have the foreign entities working with Raila called in to hold mediation talks.

Their sole agenda, he said, would have been to force him to agree to a coalition government.

“He wanted blood to be shed and then return to his 'wazungus' to force a coalition government.”

Uhuru said the same tactic was used in 2007 when former President Mwai Kibaki was declared the president.

Raila rejected the results of the election sparking a

wave of protests that degenerated into ethnic violence.

The chaos left 1,200 people dead and 600,000 displaced.

Former UN chief Kofi Annan mediated talks that ended the crisis and led to the formation of a coalition government.

However, Raila has severally dismissed talks of him wanting to share power with Uhuru.

"Sisi hatutaki nusu mkate, tunataka boflo yote." We don't want a half bread, we want the whole loaf of bread, Raila has said.

Uhuru said there is no room for coalition governments in Kenya as people are ready to elect their leaders through the ballot.

“The Constitution does not allow boardroom talks to decide who the president will be,” he said in apparent reference to Raila's alleged schemes for a coalition government.

“All powers are vested in the people of Kenya, they are the ones to decide,” he added.

He was referring to NASA's bi-weekly protests which he said could plunge the country into turmoil

The street protests are aimed at forcing IEBC to agree to NASA's irreducible minimums and dissuade Jubilee from amending election laws.

NASA has said the protests will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“Demonstrations are not the solution,” Ruto said.
