Cornel Rasanga weathered a strong contest from his main competitor Nicholas Gumbo to retain the Siaya Governor seat.
He was declared winner of Tuesday's election after garnering 195,678 votes against the former Rarieda MP's 178,466.
Rasanga defended the top county seat under the ODM umbrella while Gumbo ran as an independent candidate.
The results were announced by returning officer Ruth Kulundu on Thursday at the county tallying centre in Siaya town.
Jubilee Party's Salim Ongonga got 1,876 votes while Dan Omoro (Independent) got 1,562. Noah Winja was last with 767 votes.
However, celebrations in Siaya have been suspended following the presidential results transmission stalemate in Nairobi.
ODM candidates said this in a show of solidarity with their party leader who has protested the provisional presidential results.
Rasanga maintained a steady lead as soon as the results started trickling in after the polls were closed.
IEBC DELAYS SPARK TENSION
IEBC officials' delay in releasing the results sparked tension as candidates and their supporters speculated rigging plots.
This was after unsealed ballot boxes were found in a pickup truck at Sega town. Rasanga stopped the plot.
Gumbo said also called a press conference when the results delayed and said he will only concede defeat in a free and fair contest.
During campaigns, ODM leader Raila Odinga asked residents to vote for the orange party to a man under the six-piece voting pattern.
Nearly all seats in the county were won by the party's candidates.
In Jakoyo Midiwo's backyard of Gem constituency, Rasanga garnered 28,780 votes while Gumbo got 35,995.
In Ugunja, Rasanga got 25,544 while Gumbo trailed him with 15,936. Bondo (Rasanga-30,790; Gumbo-43,492), Alego Usonga (Rasanga-63,756;Gumbo- 21,145).
Gumbo topped in his Rarieda backyard by beating Rasanga with 42, 316 votes against the latter's 20,752.
In Ugenya constituency, Rasanga had 26,052 votes while Gumbo got 19,608.
For the constituency races, Gem returning officer Martin Ochieng declared Elisha Odhiambo as MP-elect.
Elisha, who garnered 33,520 votes against Midiwo's 28, 245, asked the outgoing MP to join hands with him in transforming the constituency.
"The die is cast and people of Gem have spoken at the ballot box. My duty is now to deliver services as per their interests."
Ugenya's Chris Karan of ODM got 23,361 votes beating David Ochieng' who got 23,069 votes.
Bondo MP Gideon Ochanda retained his seat after garnering 63,846 votes against Andiwo Mwai (Independent) who got 8,810.
Ugunja's Opiyo Wandayi was declared the winner by Rose Obari after he defeated Ford Kenya candidate Joseph Aluru.
He got 34,199 votes against Aluru's 6,975.
In Rarieda, ODM candidate Otiende Amolo emerged victorious with 46,453 votes against Ford Kenya's Andrew Otieno (17,027).
In Alego Usonga, Maurice Simiyu declared Samwel Atandi the winner of the hotly contested MP seat.
