Kisii couple electrocuted while connecting power illegally

A husband and wife were on Saturday morning electrocuted at Ogembo in Bomachoge Chache constituency.

Jared Moseti was electrocuted while installing a power connection illegally. His wife Jackline died as she tried to save him.

Kisii police commander Agnes Mudamba said their bodies were taken to a private hospital mortuary in Kisii, pending postmortems.

She said it was unfortunate the two lost their lives as they left behind a large family.

She asked residents to follow the right procedure and get connected to electricity through Kenya Power rather than taking shortcuts.
