LSK piles pressure on Hassan to leave office

The Law Society of Kenya wants the electoral commission reconstituted “because it has serious credibility issues”.

LSK President Isaac Okero yesterday singled out the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Isaak Hassan as the subject of an investigation by the anti- corruption agency into the ChickenGate scandal.

“Given that the general election is 16 months away, this situation is now a threat to democracy and requires urgent action. The IEBC chairman must step down,” Okero said.
